In the realm of art and design, a logo serves as a powerful visual representation, encapsulating the very essence of an individual's journey, beliefs, and experiences. For me, the SB logo is not just a mark; it is a symbol that weaves together influences from ancient art, my Hindu and Sikh faiths, and the vibrant tapestry of my experiences rooted in New York City. Inspired by Exekias's masterpiece "Achilles and Ajax," I embarked on a creative journey to craft a logo that resonates with my artistic path and personal beliefs.

Drawing Inspiration from Exekias's "Achilles and Ajax":

Exekias, an ancient Greek artist, created a timeless masterpiece known as "Achilles and Ajax," housed in the Vatican Museums. This iconic black-figure pottery depicts the heroes Achilles and Ajax engaged in a deep conversation. Inspired by the fluid lines and symbolism in this ancient artwork, I sought to infuse its essence into my own logo design. In fact, the design was created with inspiration from the colors and techniques brought about by the original work of art.

Interweaving Symbolism from Hindu and Sikh Faiths:

The form of the snake, prominently featured in the SB logo, draws inspiration from both my Hindu beliefs and my Chinese zodiac animal. In Hindu mythology, the snake represents transformation, wisdom, and eternal life. It symbolizes the Kundalini energy, a spiritual force within every individual that, when awakened, leads to spiritual enlightenment.

As a representation of my Sikh faith, the resilient dented B within the SB logo carries a message close to me that I have used while continuing my journey as a professional. The resilient, dented B takes center stage, symbolizing the acceptance of life's challenges. It serves as a reminder that despite the dents and imperfections we encounter along our journey, we have the strength and resilience to rise above adversity. This element speaks to my personal experiences and the lessons I have learned from navigating life's obstacles.

The Harmonious Color Palette and NYC's Influence:

Inspired by the black pottery of Exekias's masterpiece, the SB logo's color palette started out as an inspired work of art that harmoniously blended orange and black just like the artist. With the importance of New York City being a part of my everyday life most appreciated colors for me became blue, silver, and teal making them a part of this logo.

The Power of Inspiration and Influence:

The SB logo shared in my portfolio is a testament to the fusion of ancient inspiration and personal symbolism. Drawing from Exekias's masterpiece, my Hindu and Sikh faiths, and the vibrancy of my experiences, this logo encapsulates the essence of my artistic journey. It represents resilience, acceptance, and the transformative power of art inspiration. Through this logo, I aim to convey the resilience, acceptance, and transformative power that art and faith have brought into my life.
